Job summary

Dalco Robotics is seeking a hands-on hardware engineer to develop and industrialise our robots. You will design and optimise mechanics, electronics and cabling, while turning ideas into reliable products ready for large-scale manufacture. The role involves hands-on prototype work and close collaboration with colleagues on Delft Campus.

Based on Fusion 360, KiCad and PCB development, you will drive manufacturability, BOM management and supplier coordination to deliver robust robotic systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in hardware design for robotics or machines.
• Ability to integrate mechanical, electronic and cabling systems.
• Comfort with prototype construction and iterative improvement.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimise robot mechanics in Fusion 360.
• Design and optimise PCBs in KiCad and create wiring schematics.
• Select components and standardise hardware for production.
• Collaborate with suppliers for sheet metal, 3D printing and wiring.
• Improve manufacturability, reliability and cost efficiency.
• Manage bills of materials (BOMs).
• Oversee prototype construction and testing.
