Job summary

Rocsys in the Netherlands is looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to own the mechanical system from concept through prototyping to production-ready designs, ensuring robustness, manufacturability and scalability of our core products.

You will rapidly prototype and test, collaborate with electrical and software teams, manage external partners when needed, and contribute to engineering processes, DFMA practices and the growth of Rocsys as a high‑tech scale‑up.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of professional experience in mechanical product development.
• Experience taking products from concept through prototyping, testing, and into production.
• Strong experience with 3D CAD design (SolidWorks experience preferred).
• Experience designing mechanical and/or mechatronic systems.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and design considerations for production.
• Experience coaching or mentoring other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own the mechanical system design from concept to production-ready hardware.
• Drive reliability, cost, and manufacturability improvements through DFM/ DFA.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver scalable solutions.
