Job summary

STAR Specialists is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to design, develop and improve petrochemical plant solutions. You will collaborate with a team of experts to deliver efficient and sustainable outcomes that meet top industry standards.

The role focuses on safety, reliability and operability throughout project lifecycles, including detailed engineering, procurement, and coordination with vendors. Candidates should have Shell experience and 5–10 years in Oil & Gas, with strong leadership

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Proven Shell experience is a MUST; candidates without Shell experience will not be considered.
5–10 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas.
Experience with Brownfield projects is required.
Strong knowledge of engineering design methodologies and calculation tools.
Experience with concept development and feasibility studies.
Solid expertise in Mechanical Rotating Equipment.
Experience in detailed engineering and design activities.
Understanding of Systems Engineering principles and practices.
Experience with package engineering, vendor management, and manufacturing processes.
Strong focus on reliability, operability, maintainability and safety.

Responsibilities

Design and engineer solutions that meet high standards of safety, reliability and sustainability.
Select methods and procedures in compliance with codes and standards.
Plan and complete activities and deliverables within time and budget.
Ensure scope of work aligns with contractual and internal requirements.
Capture and apply lessons learned; manage changes across project boundaries.
Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors and third parties.
May be assigned as Package Engineer with responsibility for design, procurement and manufacture.
Lead engineers on assigned scope of work.
Act as Discipline Lead for an assigned scope of work.
