Qualifications

• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in a plant environment, preferably in chemicals, fertilizer, or mineral processing.
• Strong background in liquid chemical processes and solid material handling.

• Safety-first mindset, committed to rigorous compliance.
• Openness to learning Dutch (not essential to start).

Responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical engineering across maintenance and projects to protect reliability and integrity.
• Lead engineering studies and deliver plant modifications for improved performance.
• Manage contractors and indirect teams, ensuring projects stay tight and on spec.
• Engage hands-on with plant operations, especially systems handling liquid chemicals and solids.
• Prepare for a smooth transition taking over critical knowledge from a retiring expert.
