Job summary

Stoneridge, a leader in automotive and commercial vehicle technologies, is seeking a Product Engineer in Mechanical Engineering to support mass‑produced products within the Series Engineering Change Management team. The role focuses on maintaining and improving existing designs, solving complex issues, and driving cross‑functional collaboration across development and production teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• 5-7 years of experience in product development with hands-on CAD experience.
• Strong knowledge of automotive development standards and quality processes (DFMEA, APQP, PPAP, 8D).
• Experience with engineering change management, BOMs, supplier collaboration, and prototype procurement.
• Fluent in English; Dutch language skills are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve existing products by implementing design changes and supporting production in resolving quality issues.
• Lead technical investigations and root-cause analyses to implement engineering solutions.
• Coordinate and execute engineering change activities across products and processes.
• Utilize Siemens NX, CAD, and PDM (Teamcenter/Pro.File) to manage designs and documentation.
• Collaborate with project teams, suppliers, and customers on DFMEAs, product innovation, and improvements.
• Drive enhancements to engineering tools and processes through improvement projects.
