Job summary

TMC is seeking a Lead Engineer in Mechanical Engineering in the Netherlands to manage multidisciplinary projects involving bridges, locks and other hydraulic structures. You will contribute to reliability, safety and sustainability while working as an Employeneur with a permanent contract.

You will coordinate mechanical activities, mentor engineers, ensure design quality, monitor planning and budgets, and collaborate with project managers, clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating and supervising mechanical engineering activities within multidisciplinary projects.
• Leading and mentoring engineers and designers within the project team.
• Being responsible for the technical quality of designs, calculations, and engineering documentation.
• Monitoring planning, budget, risks, and technical performance within your discipline.
• Contributing to innovative and practical solutions for complex infrastructural challenges.
• Collaborating with project managers, technical managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Providing support during design, procurement, and implementation phases of projects.
• Identifying technical risks and developing appropriate control measures.
• Ensuring designs comply with legislation, standards, guidelines, and contract requirements.
• Regularly visiting project sites to assess progress and technical execution.
