Job summary

Iv is seeking an enthusiastic mechanical engineer to join our team in the Netherlands. You will design and engineer mechanical and installation components for diverse projects, collaborating with civil and electrical engineers on complex systems such as pumping stations, locks and water treatment plants.

You will perform cost estimates, prepare specifications, and translate them into design quotes. Strong knowledge of hydraulic calculations and experience with pumps and piping are required;

Qualifications

• Requires a higher professional or university degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Five to ten years of work experience in similar projects is expected.
• Experience with multidisciplinary and complex projects; ability to maintain an overview and identify client needs.
• Ability to make compromises tactfully and lead a team to achieve the best results.
• Technical expertise in hydraulic calculations, transport systems and treatment works; knowledge of sludge digestion installations and ATEX is advantageous.
• Ability to draw up equipment specifications and obtain information from suppliers.
• Excellent reporting skills and keeping up with developments; fluency in Dutch is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer mechanical and installation components within various projects.
• Draw up cost estimates and specifications and translate these into a design quote or draft specification.
• Perform static and dynamic hydraulic calculations and contribute to transport systems such as pumps and piping.
• Knowledge of sludge digestion installations and ATEX is an advantage.
• Define and ensure high-quality reports in Dutch.
