ASSA ABLOY Group in Tilburg is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to shape mechanical design, support production and collaborate with customers across projects.

You will lead development, prototyping, testing and production setup while using SolidWorks and coordinating with suppliers and teams in a global access solutions company.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Extensive product development and design experience, preferably with SolidWorks; generators and electric motors are a plus.
• Proven experience supporting production with troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Excellent organisation and prioritisation to meet deadlines.
• Strong Dutch and English communication to influence stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Manage projects from client contact to product delivery, including development, prototyping, testing, sourcing and production setup.
• Analyse, troubleshoot and resolve product and manufacturing issues through root-cause analysis.
• Maintain communication with team members, clients, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in development, quality, safety and environmental initiatives.
• Support the commercial department.

What You Would Do As Our Senior Mechanical Engineer

As our Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will collaborate both independently and within teams on one or multiple projects. Your responsibilities include mechanical (conceptual) design, project execution and providing engineering support to both production and customers. You will report directly to the R&D Manager.

You would also:

• Manage projects from initial client contact to product delivery, including product (conceptual) development and design, prototyping, testing, supplier coordination, parts sourcing, production line setup and process development.
• Support both production and customers by analysing, troubleshooting and resolving product and manufacturing process issues through root cause analysis and the implementation of effective solutions.
• Maintain communication with team members, clients, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects related to the development process, quality, efficiency, safety and environmental initiatives.
• Support the commercial department.

The Skills And Experience You Need

We are looking for someone who has:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Extensive experience in product development and design, preferably using SolidWorks. Experience with fine mechanical systems, generators and electric motors is considered a plus.
• Proven experience supporting products in production, including troubleshooting and resolving product and manufacturing issues.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to effectively prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English, with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels of the organisation.
