ASSA ABLOY Group in Tilburg, Netherlands, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead conceptual design, development, prototyping and production support on multiple projects. You will report to the R&D Manager and coordinate with suppliers, production and customers to deliver robust mechanical solutions.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering, has extensive product development experience, preferably with SolidWorks, and can communicate effectively in

• Experience in product development and design.
• SolidWorks experience preferred; generators and electric motors a plus.
• Strong communication in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from client contact to product delivery, including conceptual development, prototyping, testing, supplier coordination, parts sourcing, production line setup and process development.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve product and manufacturing issues through root cause analysis and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain communication with team members, clients, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects related to development processes, quality, efficiency, safety and environmental initiatives.
• Support the commercial department.

Your responsibilities include mechanical (conceptual) design, project execution and providing engineering support to both production and customers. You will report directly to the R&D Manager.You would also:• Manage projects from initial client contact to product delivery, including product (conceptual) development and design, prototyping, testing, supplier coordination, parts sourcing, production line setup and process development. • Support both production and customers by analysing, troubleshooting and resolving product and manufacturing process issues through root cause analysis and the implementation of effective solutions. • Maintain communication with team members, clients, suppliers and other stakeholders. • Contribute to continuous improvement projects related to the development process, quality, efficiency, safety and environmental initiatives. • Support the commercial department.## The skills and experience you needWe are looking for someone who has:• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. • Extensive experience in product development and design, preferably using SolidWorks.
