Job summary

Huisman is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer Design in Schiedam, Netherlands, to lead the technical design of mechanical components and system solutions for offshore projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating robust, cost-effective designs while maintaining high safety and lifecycle standards.

You will oversee complete work packages, collaborate with structural engineers, and coach junior engineers. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer in offshore or maritime sector.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good command of the English language, verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and development for offshore and maritime projects.
• Independently develop designs of steel structures and mechanisms.
• Prepare engineering estimates for technical decision-making.
