Job summary

Flow Traders in Amsterdam seeks a Senior Market Data Analyst to own strategy, governance, and value realization of our external market data portfolio. You will ensure compliant, cost-effective data reaches the right users across Trading, Research, and Technology teams.

You will bridge commercial, technical, and operational domains to shape how Flow Traders discovers, acquires, and applies data at scale, including budgeting, licensing, and vendor negotiations.

Qualifications

• Deep familiarity with data usage in a trading organization (real-time, delayed, and historical datasets).
• Experience with market data licensing, entitlements, and compliance (display vs. non-display, redistribution, audit workflows).
• Proven track record in vendor management and negotiations with exchanges/providers.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME on market data usage across the firm, mapping datasets to use cases and systems.
• Model usage, seat inventory, and consumption trends; translate demand into spend forecasts; advise on cost optimization.
• Govern licensing compliance, entitlements, and audit requirements; ensure data usage adheres to policies.
• Benchmark vendors, evaluate quality and coverage, run pilots, and work with engineers to integrate data into workflows.
• Provide operational coverage by fulfilling reporting obligations and entitlement administration; contribute to best practices.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Data Engineering, and Trading/Research on evolving data needs.
