Job summary

Trinamics is seeking a Machine / Industrial Automation Engineer in the Eindhoven region to design and implement control and automation for complex mechatronic systems. You will bridge mechatronics and software, using model-based engineering to translate concepts into scalable implementations.

Requirements include a Master’s or Bachelor’s in Control Engineering or Mechatronics, 5+ years in a lead engineering role, and strong MBSE/software development affinity. English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• MBSE knowledge with software development affinity.
• Degree in Control Engineering or Mechatronics.
• 5+ years in lead/senior engineering roles.
• Knowledge of sequencing, scheduling, state modelling.
• Experience with complex mechatronic systems in high-tech.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize control and automation for complex mechatronic systems.
• Develop sequencing, scheduling and state-based models for machine behavior.
• Coordinate autonomous subsystems and ensure system-wide reliability.
• Analyze network behavior, communications and timing constraints.
• Implement fault handling and safe recovery strategies.
• Design mode-switching for hybrid systems with multiple states.
• Define CPD concepts for calibration and diagnostics.
• Build and validate dynamic models using MBSE.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and software teams in lead role.
