Job summary

bunq seeks a Medior Legal Counsel to own the end-to-end third-party contracting process, from payment processors to tech vendors, and to support product launches and market expansions.

You will lead the AI contract review tool improvements (Luminance), build smarter workflows, and provide leadership with real-time third-party risk insights to inform decisions.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Law, experience with GDPR/PSD2/DORA, and conversational Dutch at B1+ or higher.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with a Master’s degree in Law and a strong background in financial services.
• Reviewed and negotiated a high volume of third-party contracts, vendor agreements, data processing agreements, tech partnerships.
• Familiar with GDPR, PSD2, DORA, DNB/EBA regulatory landscape.
• Used AI tools to accelerate legal work and built processes around them.

Responsibilities

• Be the go-to person for every third-party contract at bunq, from payment processors to tech vendors.
• Take our AI contract review tool (Luminance) to the next level, building smarter workflows.
• Provide leadership with real-time picture of third-party risk to inform decisions.
