Qualifications

• Five plus years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java.
• Strong hands-on experience with React.
• Experience building scalable software applications in production environments.
• Experience with automated testing methodologies and quality engineering practices.
• Understanding of system ownership, monitoring, observability, and production operations.
• Experience with incident management and root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of software architecture and systems design principles.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven analytical and critical thinking capabilities.
• Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Comfortable participating in an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using Java and React.
• Write clean, scalable, and reusable code following engineering best practices.
• Refactor and improve existing applications, services, and frameworks.
• Ensure application quality through automated testing and CI practices.
• Maintain data security, integrity, and quality standards.
• Own services end to end, including monitoring, deployment, and production support.
• Define and monitor application metrics and respond to performance issues.
• Participate in incident management activities and root cause analyses.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and challenge design decisions.
• Evaluate and implement scalable software solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritise and deliver initiatives.
