Job summary

Atos in the Netherlands (Groningen) is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and optimize enterprise applications. You will work in an Agile/DevOps team across the full software lifecycle, emphasizing quality, scalability, security, and maintainability.

You will build Java solutions, REST APIs, and microservices using Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift, while advising clients and teammates on architectural decisions and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional Java development in an enterprise setting.
• Proven experience with Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
• Knowledge of microservices and API-based integrations.
• Experience with relational DBs and Java DB access.
• Familiar with Docker, Kubernetes; OpenShift a plus.
• Comfortable in Agile, Scrum or DevOps environments.
• Strong English and Dutch language skills; excellent communication.
• Ownership mindset with proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java applications.
