Job summary

Cephas Consultancy Services Private Limited in North Holland, Netherlands, seeks a Senior Java Backend Developer to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable backend applications powering our cloud-native platform. You will work on microservices-based architectures, build robust RESTful APIs, and contribute to large-scale distributed systems with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in Java backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Java 8/11/17+ with OOP concepts and design patterns.
• Hands-on expertise in Spring Boot and microservices architecture design.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms and problem solving.
• Experience designing REST APIs with proper error handling and validation.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud-native development.
• Strong experience with NoSQL databases, particularly DynamoDB.
• Proficiency with Git and version control practices.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain microservices architectures and RESTful APIs serving high-volume traffic.
• Develop cloud-native apps leveraging AWS and best practices.
• Design and optimize database solutions with NoSQL databases and DynamoDB.
• Write maintainable code, review peers, and ensure best practices.
• Debug complex issues, optimize performance, and ensure reliability across distributed systems.
• Implement monitoring and observability using Grafana and related tools.
• Collaborate with product, QA, and DevOps to deliver reliable solutions.
