Job summary

STAFIDE in Amsterdam, Netherlands is seeking a Senior Java Microservices Developer to design, build and maintain scalable backend applications using Java 17/21, Spring Boot and a microservices architecture.

You will develop RESTful APIs and enterprise-grade services, leverage Microsoft Azure, and collaborate with architects, PO’s and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high‑performing software in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong expertise in Java 17/21 and enterprise app development.
• Hands-on Spring Boot and microservices design and development.
• Experience with REST API design and backend integration.
• Proficiency with Azure cloud services and cloud-native apps.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications with Java 17/21 and Spring Boot.
• Build and enhance microservices focusing on performance, security, and reliability.
• Develop RESTful APIs and backend services following modern standards.
• Implement cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure and distributed systems.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for automated build, test, and deployment.
