Job summary

Human Source Group is seeking an experienced Java/Angular developer to join one of eight Scrum teams working on GIS-enabled applications in the Netherlands. You will design robust backend services with Java Spring Boot and build frontend features in Angular, while collaborating with a Lead Architect and peers.

AI tooling is part of the workflow, but your judgment remains essential. The role offers a 40-hour week with strong emphasis on code quality, testing and knowledge sharing, plus extensive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• 5+ years of Java backend development experience.
• 3–4+ years of Angular experience.
• Solid experience with Spring Boot and Docker.
• Kubernetes experience a plus.
• Interest in GIS libraries is advantageous.
• Able to understand complex business logic and AI-assisted development.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building robust software using Java and Spring Boot.
• Developing frontend functionality in Angular.
• Analyzing complex business logic and translating it into clear, testable solutions.
• Discussing architecture and technical decisions with the Lead Architect.
• Using AI tools judiciously and reviewing AI-generated code.
• Pair programming and mentoring less experienced developers.
