Job summary

Itproposal is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer – Java & Angular to join its Agile Scrum team in Leeuwarden. You will develop and maintain Java-based services and Angular front-ends in a cloud environment, embracing a build-it-and-run-it mindset.

The role spans front-end and back-end work, with a focus on CI/CD, monitoring, and performance tuning. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in Java, 2+ years in Angular, 2+ years in Cucumber, HBO-level experience, and Dutch fluency.

Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of Java development experience.
Minimum 2 years of Angular experience.
Minimum 2 years of Cucumber experience.
Minimum 9 years of professional experience at HBO level.
OCP certification.
Fluent spoken and written Dutch.
Strong analytical and collaborative mindset.
Willingness to work across development, operations, testing, and analysis.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Java-based services and Angular applications in a cloud/service-oriented environment.
Work across front-end and back-end development.
Develop cloud-ready applications using Spring Cloud.
Perform monitoring, profiling, troubleshooting, and performance tuning with Kibana/Grafana.
Implement automated testing using JUnit, Cucumber, Cypress, or similar tools.
Use REST, SOAP, JPA/Hibernate, JMS, PostgreSQL, Spring MVC, and Spring-WS.
Utilize DevOps/CI/CD tooling such as Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Jira, and Confluence.
Coordinate with other teams across a complex IT landscape.
Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement.
Take on broader T-shaped responsibilities including Ops, testing and analysis.
