Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
Human Source Group is seeking an experienced Java/Angular developer to join one of eight Scrum teams working on GIS-enabled applications in the Netherlands. You will design robust backend services with Java Spring Boot and build frontend features in Angular, while collaborating with a Lead Architect and peers.
AI tooling is part of the workflow, but your judgment remains essential. The role offers a 40-hour week with strong emphasis on code quality, testing and knowledge sharing, plus extensive
Would you like to build software that makes a real difference to millions of people in the Netherlands every day?
Do you feel at home in a modern Java backend environment and are you equally comfortable building a clean Angular frontend? Do you enjoy solving complex problems, coaching colleagues and contributing to architectural decisions? And would you like to work in an environment where AI is already an integral part of the daily development process?
Then this could be your next step.
You will join one of eight Java Scrum teams, working alongside a Lead Architect, four Java Developers, two Testers and a Product Owner.
The teams build applications at the intersection of GIS, data visualisation and modern web and desktop solutions. The software plays an essential role within complex Dutch infrastructure.
The challenge is not only technical. The applications contain highly complex business logic, with many rules, dependencies and exceptions that all need to work correctly.
Understanding that logic and translating it into clear, maintainable and testable code is an important part of the role.
AI has also become an integral part of the development process. Teams actively use AI tools for development, analysis, documentation and testing. Your own technical expertise remains essential: you determine whether the proposed solution is actually the right one.
You will work within a software and engineering organisation of around 120 professionals, which plays a key role in a complex Dutch information chain.
This is not about administrative or financial software. The organisation develops technically challenging applications related to tangible logistical infrastructure.
The eight Scrum teams operate largely independently, while working closely together where necessary. Your future colleagues are passionate about software development and about delivering high-quality solutions.
Ready for your next step?
We have been working successfully with this organisation for many years and would be happy to tell you more about the teams, culture and career opportunities.
