Job summary

NXP Semiconductors is seeking an IT Infrastructure Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement automation across enterprise IT. You will automate provisioning, configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management of networks, storage, servers, virtualization, and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities include IaC using Ansible, Python scripting, and building CI/CD pipelines with GitLab, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, Systems Engineering, or Infrastructure Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with infrastructure automation tools, particularly Ansible.
• Advanced scripting and programming skills in Python.
• Experience building and managing GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Broad knowledge of enterprise infrastructure technologies, including Networking, Storage, Windows Server and Linux administration, Virtualization, and Cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes and operational best practices.
• Experience working in complex enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure automation solutions across multiple technology domains.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management of networks, storage, servers, and cloud platforms.
• Develop and maintain IaC solutions using Ansible and related frameworks.
• Create reusable automation scripts using Python and other scripting languages.
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab for infrastructure automation.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, cloud, and application teams to implement automated processes.
• Standardize and automate system configurations, patching, compliance, and monitoring.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual activities and improve efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and automation issues.
• Implement automated testing and validation for deployments.
• Ensure infrastructure solutions comply with security and governance standards.
• Document automation frameworks and procedures.
