Job summary

Ericsson in Maastricht is seeking a Senior Network Engineer IP Infrastructure to support the full lifecycle of IP network solutions—from design and lab validation to integration, implementation, and acceptance. You will collaborate with telecom and IT professionals on modern technologies to deliver reliable, high-impact network solutions for customers.

The role emphasizes translating designs into concrete plans, maintaining labs, and leading customer discussions on architecture and technology

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable field.
• Relevant Cisco certification(s), or willingness to obtain them.
• At least 5 years of experience in IP networking and infrastructure engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with network design, implementation, and project delivery.
• Analytical approach in structured environments with high-impact network changes.
• Fluency in English; Dutch language skills are a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Translate designs into implementation plans and configurations.
• Set up and maintain lab environments with router configuration, testing, and validation.
• Execute network changes in line with change management processes.
• Support deployment and operations teams with technical expertise.
• Perform network modelling, analysis, and capacity planning.
• Lead technical discussions with customers and advise on architecture and technology choices.
• Create technical documentation, presentations, and proposals.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.
