Job summary

Rabobank is seeking a Senior Insights Data Scientist to transform Transaction Monitoring data into actionable insights and scalable, production-ready solutions within Squad Metis. You will develop automated recommendations that tune monitoring rules and deliver end-to-end analytical projects to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a technical field.
• More than 7 years of experience in data analysis using Python.
• Experience with PySpark, Databricks and Power BI.
• Experience building end-to-end solutions using repositories, version control, pipelines and testing frameworks.
• The ability to uncover the real question behind a request and translate it into clear, convincing recommendations.
• Experience guiding junior and mid-level colleagues and sharing your technical vision.

• Translate Above-the-Line and Below-the-Line tuning processes into data-driven recommendations and analytical solutions.

You and your role

As a Senior Insights Data Scientist, you turn complex Transaction Monitoring data into actionable insights and production-ready solutions. Within Squad Metis, you combine advanced analytics, software development and business knowledge to help improve the effectiveness and scalability of Transaction Monitoring.

You develop automated solutions that help colleagues assess and optimise Transaction Monitoring rules and make better data-driven decisions.

What will you do?

You work closely with stakeholders across Business, Technology and Operations. Together, you develop analytical capabilities that improve the efficiency, effectiveness and scalability of Transaction Monitoring.

You will join the Financial Economic Crime Technology Tribe. More than 80 colleagues work on the Transaction Monitoring model, which helps detect risks related to money laundering and terrorist financing.

You will work in a multidisciplinary environment where analytical expertise, technology and business knowledge come together to develop reliable and scalable solutions. Collaboration and a results-driven approach are central to the way the team works.

What do we offer?

• A contract until 1 October 2027, with the possibility of extension.
  
• A salary of €5,993.80 – €6,649.75 gross per month, based on 36 hours per week and depending on experience.
  
• Additional benefits, including holiday allowance, a 13th-month payment and pension contribution.
