Job summary

Demcon life sciences & health seeks a senior HSE Advisor to join the QHSE team, with a preferred chemistry focus. You will help implement and improve HSE policy and support executives and Demcon entities, especially at Enschede locations.

You will assess process safety, advise on HSE matters, manage RI&E, hazardous substances, HAZOP, permits, and write procedures within the management system. You’ll also contribute to internal audits and incident investigations.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the assessment of the safety of processes and projects within Demcon entities, particularly the chemical division.
• Advising colleagues on specific HSE questions/issues.
• Carry out and support necessary processes related to HSE, such as RI&E, hazardous substances, HAZOP, exposure studies, and permit applications.
• Write and improve procedures, work instructions, and rules within the existing management system and HSE policy.
• Implement and execute HSE policy and create support for it within Demcon.
• Taking action and/or measures necessary for the safety of Demcon employees.
• Identifying, reporting, and investigating (near) accidents/incidents and hazardous situations and monitoring improvement actions.
• Assisting in conducting internal audits and checks.
