g2 Recruitment is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Advisor to join a major construction project in Amsterdam. You will oversee RAMS, safety programs, and compliance on site, ensuring high safety standards across all phases of delivery.

The role requires civils/CSA project background, valid VCA/SCC certification for on-site work in the Netherlands, and demonstrated experience in leading safety initiatives and investigations within complex construction environments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Health & Safety Advisor or Senior Health & Safety Advisor within construction.
• Valid VCA Certificate or SCC Certificate for on site work in Netherlands
• Strong Civils/CSA project experience (not M&E-focused)
• Experience reviewing and managing RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)
• Experience maintaining H&S registers, compliance records, and site documentation
• Relevant Health & Safety qualifications and training
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with site teams, contractors, and management

Responsibilities

• Review RAMS and safe systems of work.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety observations.
• Support incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate H&S records and compliance documentation.
• Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety guidance to site teams.
• Travel can be arranged by the contractor or supported every 4 weeks.

I am currently seeking an experienced Senior Health & Safety Advisor to join a major construction project in Amsterdam. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile project, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and compliance are maintained throughout all phases of delivery.

I am looking for someone with a strong background in Civils or CSA (Civil, Structural & Architectural) works and be comfortable operating in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as a Health & Safety Advisor or Senior Health & Safety Advisor within construction.
• Valid VCA Certificate or SCC Certificate for on site work in Netherlands
• Strong Civils/CSA project experience (not M&E-focused).
• Experience reviewing and managing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
