Job summary

GeekSoft Consulting in Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Netherlands, seeks a Senior Data Platform Engineer on a fixed-term contract to design, build and scale enterprise data solutions.

You will research and implement new technology following best practices, ensure resiliency and availability of products, and collaborate with a cross-functional team using GCP, BigQuery, Spark, Docker, Terraform and CI/CD workflows.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building, scaling, and maintaining enterprise systems.
• 4+ years designing and supporting Data Platforms or complex GCP architectures.
• 3+ years implementing enterprise monitoring with Dynatrace for data pipelines, quality, and performance.
• Strong experience managing JVM-based applications, preferably Apache Spark.
• Terraform for production infrastructure as code.
• Strong experience creating and maintaining GitHub Actions and CI/CD workflows.
• Deep technical expertise in GCP including BigQuery, GCS, IAM, Cloud Run, and Networking.
• Strong knowledge of Linux, Docker, and Bash scripting.
• Good understanding of data engineering and data science concepts.
• GCP certifications are a plus.
