Job summary

Shockbyte is hiring a Senior Software Developer to join our Eindhoven-based engineering team. You will own end-to-end feature work across our game hosting platform, guiding architecture, code reviews, and scalable solutions.

You'll work across NestJS, VueJS, Go, TypeScript, Kubernetes, and SQL, delivering high‑quality software. The role is hybrid, with three days per week in the Eindhoven office, and requires a passion for gaming and strong system design.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of senior software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar (or equivalent hands‑on experience).
• Strong full stack skills with secure, scalable and fast systems.
• Comfortable working with AI tools like Claude Code and understanding where they help.

Responsibilities

• Drive updates to core products as a senior engineer, including architecture and code reviews.
• Experiment with AI tools and share learnings with the team.
• Act as a senior technical voice in the Eindhoven office and help unblock colleagues.
• Keep documentation up to date so knowledge isn’t siloed.
