Job summary

PaymentIQ is seeking a senior frontend engineer to own complex, user-facing surfaces and help shape the next generation of our products. You will work on a SaaS payment orchestration platform used by hundreds of merchants worldwide, with a strong AI-first approach and a focus on performance, accessibility, and code quality.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership from design to production, collaboration with product and backend teams, and mentorship of junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years software development experience with a strong frontend focus
• Experience building scalable frontend applications used by many customers
• Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture, component design, state management, build tooling, performance, and testing
• Ownership mindset with ability to dive into docs, find answers, and own work
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Nice to have experience in payments/e-commerce and shared component libraries

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain frontend features across the PaymentIQ platform — checkout, hosted fields, and back-office
• Shape the frontend architecture and drive component reuse and consistency
• Own features from design through production including monitoring and iterative improvement
• Raise engineering quality, performance, and accessibility standards
• Mentor junior engineers and uplift the frontend team skills
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend engineers to translate merchant needs into solid solutions
