Job summary

PaymentIQ is seeking a senior frontend engineer who will take ownership of complex, user-facing surfaces and help shape the next generation of our SaaS platform. You will focus on clean, maintainable code, performance, and a high-quality user experience.

You’ll work on the PaymentIQ product across checkout, hosted fields, and back-office surfaces, collaborating closely with product, design, and backend engineers. We support an AI-driven approach and a hybrid work model with 50% in Hoofddorp.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience with a frontend focus.
• Experience building scalable frontend applications in production.
• Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture, component design, state management, build tooling, performance, and testing.
• Fluent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain frontend features across the PaymentIQ platform, including checkout and back-office.
• Shape frontend stack architecture and promote component reuse.
• Take features from design through production, including monitoring and iterative improvement.
• Improve engineering quality, performance, and accessibility.
• Mentor junior engineers and raise the team's skill.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend engineers to translate merchant needs into solutions.
