Job summary

Redwood Software is seeking a highly skilled Front End UI Developer to join our engineering team in the Netherlands. You will design, develop, and maintain responsive UIs using React and related technologies, collaborating with product and UX to deliver high-quality user experiences.

You will leverage our design system, apply AI-assisted development practices, and implement automated tests with Playwright to ensure performance, accessibility, and reliability across the product portfolio.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS, software engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Professional experience as a Software Developer with strong React focus.
• Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript and modern frameworks.
• Experience consuming and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Unit testing and automation using Playwright; strong debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive front-end UIs using React and related technologies.
• Leverage the shared Design System to build reusable UI components.
• Collaborate with product and UX to translate requirements into specs.
• Use AI coding assistants to accelerate development and focus on architecture.
• Review and optimize AI-generated UI code for performance and accessibility.
• Apply prompt engineering to improve test coverage and technical docs.
• Contribute to UI architecture discussions for scalability and security.
• Write clean, well-documented code following best practices.
• Implement and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end).
• Troubleshoot defects and production issues.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends.
