Job summary

Gazelle Global is seeking a Senior Front-end Developer for a major client in Amsterdam. The role involves shaping an AI-powered FE development flow within a small squad, while building and maintaining core web libraries and components such as a custom router and a mock server kit.

The position is a 36-40 hour/week engagement for 2-3 years, operating in an agile environment with emphasis on TDD/BDD and frontend tooling mastery. Strong communication with customers is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in development/software engineering.
• Experience with SPA and SSR, preferably NextJS.
• Familiarity with WebComponents meta-specification.
• Proficient in frontend build tooling (Webpack/Rollup).
• Experience with CI/CD, preferably Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of deployments to CDN and release procedures.
• Strong testing experience with Mocha/Chai/Selenium/Karma.
• Strong technical communication and customer collaboration.

We are a Dutch recruitment agency based in the Netherlands and we are preferred suppliers to major banking organizations based in the Netherlands.

For one of our major clients based in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Senior Front-end Developer.

36-40 hours

2-3 year project

The project:

We are a tight-knit squad of six engineers. As we grow, we’re tackling one of our most exciting challenges yet: leveraging AI to build a sustainable FE development flow. In addition to this, our team designs, maintains, and supports several core web libraries and components- including a custom router and a mock server kit- that are used across our frontend ecosystem.

Our team scope consists of:

• 10+ years’ experience in development/software engineering and working within agile organisations.
• Enthusiastic about AI and wants to help build AI-powered products and solutions.
• Familiarity with WebComponents meta-specification.
• Experience with frontend build tooling e.g., Webpack and Rollup.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling, preferably Azure DevOps.
• Deployments to CDN, NFM Feeds, release procedures, risk evaluation and security.
• Desirable Design Patterns: Single Page Applications, Server-Side Rendering / Static Site Generation (NextJS)
• Well versed with TDD, BDD, and testing tools such as Mocha, Chai, Selenium, Karma, etc.
• Strong technical communication skills and keen to engage with customers.
• One technical interview (60 min Teams chat) and one soft skills (20 mins)
