Job summary

Sytac in Amsterdam is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join a tight-knit squad building core frontend infrastructure for a scalable ecosystem. You will work on web libraries, a custom router, a mock server kit, and Global Frontend Pipelines within a Micro-Frontend architecture.

You will contribute to AI-powered products, help shape the squad roadmap, and champion frontend security. Excellent English communication and 10+ years of software experience are expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development/engineering experience in agile organisations.
• Keen interest in AI and building AI-powered products and solutions.
• Familiarity with the WebComponents meta-specification.
• Experience with frontend build tooling such as Webpack and Rollup.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling, preferably Azure DevOps.
• Experience with CDN deployments, NFMs, release procedures, risk evaluation, and security.
• Strong testing experience with Mocha, Chai, Selenium, and Karma.
• Strong technical communication skills with internal customers and stakeholders.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, support, and evolve core web libraries and components, including a custom router and mock server kit.
• Own and improve the Global Frontend Pipelines for deployment-as-code in a micro-frontend setup.
• Contribute to building AI-powered products and solutions at scale.
• Help design and maintain a squad roadmap balancing new initiatives with platform stability.
• Contribute to Frontend Architecture at the Touchpoint Platform level.
• Be a Blue Security Champion, ensuring security is a first-class concern.

For one of our key clients in the Netherlands, we are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join a tight-knit squad of six engineers building the core frontend infrastructure that powers an entire frontend ecosystem at scale. You'll work on web libraries, a custom router, a mock server kit, and the Global Frontend Pipelines, deployment-as-code solutions that enable seamless, scalable deployments across a Micro-Frontend architecture used by engineers across the organisation.

What you'll do

• Maintain, support, and evolve core web libraries and components, including a custom router and mock server kit, used across the client's frontend ecosystem.
• Own and improve the Global Frontend Pipelines, built as deployment-as-code solutions enabling scalable Micro-Frontend deployments.
• Contribute to building AI-powered products and solutions that shape the future of frontend development at scale.

What we're looking for

• 10+ years of experience in software development/engineering within agile organisations.
• Enthusiastic about AI and eager to help build AI-powered products and solutions.
• Familiarity with the WebComponents meta-specification.
• Experience with frontend build tooling such as Webpack and Rollup.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling, preferably Azure DevOps.
• Experience with CDN deployments, NFM feeds, release procedures, risk evaluation, and security.
• Well-versed in TDD, BDD, and testing tools such as Mocha, Chai, Selenium, and Karma.
• Strong technical communication skills, you engage confidently with internal customers and stakeholders.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Single Page Applications, Server-Side Rendering, or Static Site Generation (e.g. Next.js).
• Familiarity with Micro-Frontend architecture patterns and deployment strategies.
• Background working on shared platform or developer tooling teams, you understand the impact of platform decisions on downstream engineering teams.
