Job summary

ASICS EMEA, based at our headquarters near Amsterdam, is seeking an experienced FP&A professional to own the monthly close, forecasting, and balance sheet analysis.

You will partner with CFO and executive team, use SAP Analytics Cloud, Stravis, and Power BI to deliver accurate numbers and clear insights.

This role offers hybrid working with in-office days to be confirmed, and a collaborative team going through change to shape robust financial planning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in business control or FP&A at an international company.
• Hands-on ownership of forecast, budget or month-end cycle.
• Strong SAP-based reporting knowledge with SAP BI/ SAP Analytics Cloud and Power BI.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Admin or Accountancy.
• Detail-oriented with ability to explain financial topics to non-financial colleagues.

Your role in our shared journey

Based at our EMEA headquarters in Hoofddorp, near Amsterdam, you will sit at the centre of our Business Control team, reporting to the Director of Business Control. You will own the monthly close and the monthly business review for ASICS EMEA, run the in-year quarterly forecast cycle, and take responsibility for our balance sheet, non-operating results and cash conversion cycle analysis and submissions. You will work closely with our FP&A Manager, Commercial Business Controllers and with our finance colleagues at global headquarters in Japan.

This is a role for someone who genuinely enjoys working with financial systems and has strong FP&A skills. A significant part of your week will be spent using Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud and Stravis, our group consolidation system, ensuring that the numbers shared with our CFO and Executive Team are accurate and delivered on time. You will also help turn data into clear insights and actionable recommendations through the monthly close, business reviews and forecasting. The team is collaborative and open, and it is going through a period of change, so you will be joining at a point where what you build will stick.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

• Monthly Close & Business Review: Own the monthly close process for Business Control and prepare the monthly business review pack, gathering input from the commercial and SG&A teams, checking the numbers and the commentary, and making sure it is ready for CFO and Executive Team review.
• Forecasting: Own the quarterly in-year forecast process end to end, from the calendar and deliverables through to consolidation, challenging the input you receive and delivering an accurate submission on time.
• Planning Cycle Support: Support the FP&A Manager through the Mid Term Plan and the Annual Financial Plan, consolidating input from across the business and keeping the planning calendar aligned with the forecast cycle.
• Balance Sheet & Cash Conversion Cycle: Take responsibility for the balance sheet, non-operating results and the cash conversion cycle, including days sales outstanding, days payables outstanding and inventory.
• Group Reporting & Systems Ownership: Submit actuals, forecasts and plans into Stravis for ASICS EMEA, own cost centre master data, and act as the team's point of contact for SAP, SAP Analytics Cloud and Power BI reporting changes, working with our BI team to keep our dashboards accurate and improving.
• P&L Governance & Insight: Govern and analyse our category, channel, sub-channel and customer P&Ls, making sure costs are allocated correctly and that the numbers come with the business context behind them.

Essential

You have the following skills:

• 5+ years in business control or financial planning and analysis at an international company.
• Hands-on ownership of a forecast, budget or month-end cycle from start to finish, where you built the timeline, chase the input, check the submissions and stand behind the numbers.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP, including SAP BI and SAP Analytics Cloud reporting, together with Power BI. This is a systems-led role, so we are looking for someone who already has that depth.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration or Accountancy.
• A real appetite for detailed monthly systems work. You like being in and out of financial systems and take satisfaction in getting a complex submission right first time.
• A self-starter with high attention to detail, comfortable managing your own deadlines while holding other people to theirs.
• Confident explaining financial topics to non-financial colleagues, in fluent English.

Nice To Have

• Experience in Sporting Goods, FMCG industry, Wholesale or Retail. It shortens the time it takes to get up to speed with our business.
• Exposure to a group consolidation system such as Stravis, Hyperion, OneStream, Tagetik or SAP BPC.
• Experience with Think-Cell.
