Job summary

JobCubby is partnering with a Netherlands-based retailer to hire a Senior Mobile Developer (Flutter). You will own the mobile experience of a digital retail platform used in busy store environments, building Flutter modules and native integrations with payment terminals, printers, and barcode scanners.

You will collaborate with Product and Backend teams in a fully remote, international environment, delivering offline-first, high-performance mobile solutions with strong ownership and timely

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional mobile development experience, with at least 3 years in Flutter.
• Strong Flutter/Dart expertise and Add-to-App architecture.
• Experience with native Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift).
• Experience integrating with external hardware and native SDKs (payment terminals, printers, or scanners).
• Strong understanding of mobile state management, REST API integration, and SQLite.
• Experience building offline-first mobile applications and handling intermittent connectivity.
• Strong understanding of mobile performance optimization, reliability, and production-quality practices.
• Experience writing Flutter integration tests for hardware-dependent flows.
• Ability to translate detailed design specs into polished mobile interfaces.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to work independently in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop the mobile experience for a mission-critical retail platform.
• Build Flutter modules with Add-to-App, enabling Dart-native SDK communication.
• Develop native integrations with payment terminals, printers, barcode scanners.
• Integrate mobile with backend microservices via REST APIs.
• Deliver features across POS, billing, inventory, banking, and AI assistance.
• Create pixel-accurate UI from Figma designs for fast retail interactions.
• Design offline-first capabilities using local storage (SQLite).
• Optimize performance, reliability, and crash resistance.
• Write integration tests for hardware-dependent workflows.
• Maintain code quality via reviews and best practices.
• Collaborate with Product and Backend to define requirements and timelines.
• Own initiatives from planning through delivery.
