Job summary

Health Cloud Initiative (HCI) is hiring a senior mobile developer to lead the Uw Zorg Online rebuild for iOS and Android, using a modern hybrid stack. You will shape architecture, project structure, state management, and native modules, from foundation to first store release.

You will decide between React Native and Flutter, set quality bars, build the release pipeline with CI/CD, work with product and design to scope screens, and collaborate with backend on a Backend-for-Frontend.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience building and shipping production apps for iOS and Android from a shared codebase.
• Strong knowledge of React Native or Flutter including native modules and tooling.
• Experience taking an app from zero to the stores with ongoing health and updates.

Responsibilities

• Lead the rebuild of Uw Zorg Online for iOS and Android from a shared codebase.
• Help decide stack (React Native or Flutter) and set up the foundation for the team.
• Create the release pipeline: CI/CD, versioning, staged rollouts, store submissions, crash reporting.
• Collaborate with product/design to audit screens and balance native vs web views.
• Work with backend on a Backend-for-Frontend layer and API contracts.
• Focus on performance, accessibility, and app-store health across releases.
• Plan phased rollouts with old and new apps running side by side.
