Job summary

BauWatch is seeking a Senior Financial Controller to lead complex accounting, reporting and control activities within the Group Finance team in the Netherlands. You will own monthly, quarterly and annual closing, ensure IFRS compliance, and partner with European finance teams to drive standardisation and improved controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Economics.
• Approximately 5 years of experience in financial control, accounting or external audit.
• Big Four experience is a strong advantage.
• RA, ACCA or CPA qualification is a plus but not required.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and consolidated reporting.
• Experience in an international multi-entity environment.
• Strong analytical skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly and annual Group closing and consolidation process.
• Safeguard the quality, accuracy and timeliness of Group financial reporting.
• Prepare and review complex accounting positions and ensure consistent application of Group Accounting Policies and IFRS.
• Support the preparation and review of statutory financial statements.
• Act as the technical accounting expert for the Group Finance organisation.
• Continuously improve the Group's internal financial control framework.
• Coordinate the annual external audit and resolve technical accounting matters with external auditors.
