Job summary

Catawiki in the Netherlands is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join its Accounting & Reporting team. The ideal candidate will manage selected accounting areas, ensuring accurate and scalable financial reporting as Catawiki grows internationally. Responsibilities include overseeing month-end close activities and partnering with stakeholders to enhance processes.

The role requires strong accounting fundamentals, analytical skills, and a proactive mindset. The position is hybrid, requiring on-site presence in Amsterdam twice a week.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in financial accounting, preferably in an international, marketplace, e-commerce, platform or tech environment.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Own selected month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations and balance sheet reviews.
• Manage accounting areas or entities through the close process with a strong focus on accuracy, completeness and timely delivery.
• Act as a key Finance partner to Payroll, ensuring accurate payroll processing and payment controls.
