Job summary

Arcadis in the Netherlands seeks a Senior Structural Engineer FEM to lead high-end finite element analyses for bridges, tunnels and complex structures. You translate complex results into clear design recommendations and collaborate across disciplines with clients and project teams.

With MSc/BSc in Civil Engineering and hands-on experience in advanced FEM modelling, you will drive robust, safe and cost-effective solutions, while coaching junior colleagues and contributing to Arcadis’ expertise in

Qualifications

• MSc/BSc in Civil Engineering or comparable discipline.
• Demonstrated experience with advanced structural analyses and FEM modelling.
• Strong foundation in structural mechanics and numerical analysis.
• Ability to translate analyses into clear, actionable reports.
• Experience on infrastructure projects (bridges/tunnels) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Independently set up, execute and review advanced FEM analyses for complex structures.
• Define modelling approaches, boundary conditions and ensure robust, reproducible results.
• Translate outcomes into clear recommendations and risk assessments for projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and align with project goals.
• Coach junior/mid-level colleagues and contribute to knowledge building.
