Job summary

SBM Offshore is seeking a Senior Project Engineer - EX Lead to drive Ex compliance across complex offshore projects. With 10+ years in project engineering, you will lead multi-disciplinary teams to ensure Ex requirements are integrated through design, procurement, and construction, while maintaining schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in project engineering within the oil and gas industry.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Effective time management and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Ex compliance activities across the project.
• Support Ex activities across Engineering, Supply Chain and Construction.
• Coordinate interfaces between disciplines for Ex compliance.
• Issue monthly Ex project matrix and dashboard with accuracy.
• Maintain Ex assurance plan and Ex specifications.
• Prepare Ex matrix with data-coordinator and report to management.
• Coordinate with Area Project Managers for construction Ex requirements.
• Coordinate with Project Procurement Managers for supplier Ex bids.
• Ensure Ex requirements are included in subcontracts.
• Manage supplier Ex compliance surveillance and QA at project level.
• Coordinate with Construction QA and Site Ex Lead on Ex documentation.
