Job summary

SBM Offshore N.V. is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead complex oil and gas projects, coordinating engineering, procurement and construction activities to meet objectives.

You will drive plans and budgets, oversee multi-disciplinary teams, conduct risk assessments, ensure safety and quality, and mentor junior engineers while maintaining strong client and regulator relationships across project phases.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in project engineering within the oil and gas industry.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and management of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Oversee coordination between engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
• Conduct and oversee advanced technical evaluations, risk assessments, and feasibility studies.
• Monitor and drive project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead the review of technical documentation to ensure standards, safety regulations, and policies are met.
• Act as key liaison with clients, contractors, and regulators across all project phases.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to the project engineering team.
• Mentor more junior project engineers and support their development.
