Job summary

TicketSwap in Amsterdam seeks a Senior Legal Counsel to translate EU and national regulations into practical guidance that enables innovation and responsible growth. You'll partner with Product, Engineering and commercial teams to assess legal requirements early, shape compliant product development and navigate cross-border expansion while protecting fans and organizers.

Qualifications

Completed degree in Dutch law and strong understanding of EU regulatory frameworks.
Approximately 5–8 years of relevant legal experience, including in-house roles.
Experience advising on regulatory compliance in technology-driven platforms.

Responsibilities

Pro-actively shape product development by advising early in discovery and ensuring compliance after launch.
Own implementation and compliance with EU and national regulations (e.g. GDPR, DSA, AI Act).
Translate complex regulations into practical, risk-based guidance for product and business teams.
Monitor cross-border regulatory developments and suggest actions to mitigate risks.
Advise on legal implications of entering new markets and new products.
Build legal awareness across teams and foster a culture of shared responsibility.
Own matters end-to-end from initial assessment to resolution.
