Job summary

FairPlay Engineering BV seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to design electrical systems for industrial and energy projects from low to high voltage. You will translate client needs into practical designs, write reports, perform complex calculations, and prepare layouts and equipment lists.

You’ll work onsite or from a modern office, collaborating in a 3D multidisciplinary setting to improve safety and energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience at an engineering company.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong experience in LV/MV/HV systems and related design.
• Proficient in designing and calculating electrical systems (cable sizing, short-circuit, emergency power, lighting).
• Knowledge of AutoCAD; Intelec and Caneco are a plus.
• Fluent in Dutch or willing to learn.

Our client is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer who will play a key role in designing electrical systems for industrial and energy-related projects. These range from low- to high-voltage installations and include emergency power systems, lighting, motors and drives, earthing, lightning protection, and conducting complex calculations such as short-circuit, load flow, and cable sizing.

In this role, you’ll translate client requirements into optimal and practical technical designs across various project stages. You will be involved in writing reports, providing technical advice, performing calculations, creating diagrams and schematics, and preparing layouts and equipment lists.

You’ll have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that contribute to emission reduction, energy savings, and operational safety in diverse industrial sectors such as waste processing and steel manufacturing. Depending on your preference, you can work onsite at client locations or from our client’s modern, well-equipped office.

What do you need

• At least 7 years of experience working for engineering company
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Solid experience in low-, medium-, and/or high-voltage systems
• Proficient in designing and calculating electrical systems (e.g. cable sizing, short-circuit resistance, emergency power, lighting)
• Skilled in AutoCAD
• Knowledge of Intelec and Caneco is a plus
• Fluent in Dutch or willing to learn the language
