Job summary

Amsterdam, The Netherlands – Saxo Bank is seeking a senior C#/.NET engineer to anchor a brand-new data platform. You will design and ship production services that ingest, protect, and distribute customer data across the organisation, with GDPR and security as core tenets.

The role offers a path to lead developer responsibilities and a chance to shape the engineering direction. You will work with SQL Server, Kafka, and a stack including Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, and Azure.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on experience designing and shipping production systems.
• Ability to drive technical direction when decisions are not obvious.
• Comfortable working across a data platform stack and security/compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and build real-time, event-driven services feeding customer data.
• Protect data through security, privacy, and reliability best practices.

Are you a senior C# / .NET engineer ready to be the technical anchor of a brand-new data platform, designing it from the ground up and helping set the engineering direction? Then this is the role for you.

In our team we are building the platform that will become the single source of truth for customer data across the whole organisation, replacing a legacy system that many teams depend on. You and your team will design and build the real-time, event-driven services that take in approved customer data, protect it, and make it available to every system that needs it. It is sensitive data at a large scale, so security, privacy, correctness and reliability are critical. You will work with some of the best professionals in the field, and you have to be eager to learn and develop yourself.

Our stack:

C# / .NET, SQL Server, and Kafka, with strict encryption and GDPR requirements.

What we're looking for:

a hands-on senior engineer, with +6 years of experience, who has designed and shipped production systems and services; someone comfortable being the senior technical voice and making the call when there is no obvious answer.

Nice to have:

experience with master data management (MDM), migrating off a legacy CRM or D365, large-scale data platforms, or regulated data (GDPR/KYC).
