Job summary

Hilti Nederland BV is seeking a Design Engineer to deliver complex, customer-focused engineering solutions that support Hilti’s growth. In this senior role you translate project requirements into optimized, compliant designs and take ownership of design applications across international teams.

You will coach other engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to BIM workflows using CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in structural, civil, or mechanical engineering.
• Several years of experience on complex projects in multidisciplinary or construction environments.
• Proficiency with CAD tools, design software, and BIM workflows; ensure compliance with codes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities translating complex requirements.
• Structured, disciplined work style with strong time management under pressure.
• Collaborative mindset capable of coaching and supporting others.
• High learning agility and commitment to professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assess project scope, inputs, and engineering effort with PMs and Lead Engineers.
• Develop the technical design core for MEP fastening solutions and input to modelers.
• Execute and optimize engineering designs for MEP applications using Hilti systems with compliant calculations and documentation.
• Collaborate in project meetings, manage scope deviations, support change management with stakeholders and standards.
• Derive Bills of Materials and communicate solutions to cross-functional teams to enable project execution.
