Job summary

Cyient in Amsterdam is seeking a Senior Delphi Developer to maintain and evolve a mature Delphi/VCL desktop application embedded in a customer SAFe Scrum team. The role is on-site with hybrid options for candidates in the Netherlands or EU, working within Azure DevOps backlog and release processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Delphi development (Delphi 11+ preferred).
• Strong Delphi/VCL fundamentals with packages, DLLs, and the Parallel Programming Library.
• Experience with DevExpress VCL components for building Delphi UIs.
• MS SQL Server experience—writing and optimizing stored procedures and queries.
• Azure DevOps experience including backlog management, Git-based source control, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Agile/Scrum delivery experience; SAFe exposure is a plus.
• Professional English proficiency for stakeholder interaction.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, and unit test features for the Delphi desktop application (VCL/DevExpress).
• Debug production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Write and optimize MS SQL Server stored procedures and queries.
• Refactor code for maintainability and performance; participate in code reviews.
• Build and maintain automated unit tests and CI/CD tooling.
• Collaborate with Product Owner, Product Manager, and QA in Agile ceremonies.
• Produce design notes, algorithms, test evidence, and review checklists.
• Support ad hoc initiatives and DevOps-related tasks.
