Job summary

A leading IT consultancy located in Amsterdam is seeking a hands-on Azure / Linux Engineer. The ideal candidate will operate and improve Azure-based cloud platforms and manage Kubernetes clusters. This role emphasizes independent working and requires strong experience with Azure and Kubernetes in production. The position offers a hybrid working setup within a technically challenging environment, providing opportunities for growth and influence.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Azure & Kubernetes in a production environment.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Ansible is essential.

For a specific client team, we’re looking for a hands‑on Azure / Linux Engineer to help build, run, and improve a large-scale cloud & edge platform used across multiple locations in Europe. The environment combines Azure, Kubernetes, Linux, automation, and edge/IoT workloads in real production.

What you’ll do

• Operate and improve an Azure-based cloud platform & Kubernetes clusters
• Deploy and run services using Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines
• Manage Linux servers at scale (patching, hardening, troubleshooting)
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Bicep / Ansible)
• Support edge / IoT workloads and handle second-line incidents
• Contribute to architecture, reliability, security, and documentation

What we’re looking for

• Strong experience with Azure & Kubernetes (production)
• Experience with IaC (Terraform, Ansible, or similar)
• Independent, ownership-driven way of working
• Randstad (Hybrid – 1 day on-site)

Nice to have

• Experience with IoT / edge computing
• Video streaming or edge ML workloads
