Job summary

Xccelerated, part of the Xebia Group, is on the lookout for a Senior Data Platform Engineer to evolve and scale a cloud data platform for a large energy client. You’ll own critical infrastructure, collaborate with data scientists and platform teams, and drive real-world data solutions on AWS.

In this role you will design secure cloud infra, implement IaC with Terraform, and build CI/CD pipelines in Python, ensuring the platform is observable, cost-efficient, and production-ready.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cloud, IT, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Data Engineering or DevOps
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services
• Hands-on experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Familiar with Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, dbt or Kafka is a plus
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus

What You'll Be Doing

As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will play a key role in building, running and improving the foundation of a modern data ecosystem.

Design and implement secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS

Build and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation, mainly in Python

Keep the platform stable, observable and cost-efficient, and continuously improve it

Enable data scientists and data engineers to bring pipelines and models into production

You are a hands-on senior engineer who enjoys building scalable platforms and working in complex technical environments.

5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Data Engineering or DevOps

Strong experience with AWS cloud services

Familiar with tools like Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, dbt or Kafka is a plus
