Fitura in Utrecht seeks a Senior Data Engineer to build future-proof data chains for regulatory reporting in the banking sector. You will implement and manage the Historical Data Layer (HDL) bridging Finance and DWH teams, delivering robust ETL pipelines and test data.

The role requires 5+ years with data warehouses, ETL, and data modeling, plus strong SQL and Agile (Scrum/DevOps) experience. Banking sector background is preferred; you will coach teammates and drive quality practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Data Warehouses, ETL processes, and data modeling.
• Strong command of SQL and Agile methodologies such as Scrum and DevOps.
• Banking or financial sector experience.

Responsibilities

• Data chain implementation from source systems to regulatory reporting engines.
• Bridge Finance domain with centralized DWH teams and other engineers.
• Create unit tests and mock-up data; ensure development standards and product quality.
• Coach team members and take a leading role within and outside the team.
• HDL data chains and ETL pipelines implemented.
• Unit tests and mock datasets; code quality reviews.
