Job summary

Senior Data Engineer at Sytac BV is sought to join an enterprise data team responsible for production-grade pipelines. You will treat data projects as software, with tests, version control, and modular design, not quick one-offs.

In Amsterdam and across major Dutch clients, you’ll design Lakehouse architectures, own IaC deployments, and orchestrate with Airflow while enabling CI/CD for data pipelines. This role emphasizes governance, reliability, and scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production software and data pipelines.
• Proficient in Python and SQL across databases.
• Experience with lakehouse architectures and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Build ETL/ELT in Python, PySpark, and SQL with maintainability and tests.
• Design Lakehouse environments using Bronze/Silver/Gold models.
• Own infrastructure as code and containerized deployments with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Orchestrate with Airflow and implement CI/CD for data pipelines.
• Apply AI thoughtfully to data workflows and governance concerns.
• Translate business logic into clean specs with strong data lineage.
