You will gather requirements, assess impacts, and translate complex reporting needs into clear specifications and high-level designs, collaborating with product owners, architects and data specialists in a hybrid Utrecht setup.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a comparable role (Data Analyst/Business Analyst).
• Practical experience with SQL and ETL;
• Experience with data modelling and data warehouse environments.
• Good understanding of ETL processes and data flows.
• Knowledge of BI, Data Modelling including Data Vault and dimensional modelling, and Informatica PowerCenter.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document high-level business requirements.
• Investigate requests related to financial, internal and regulatory reporting.
• Perform impact assessments across systems, data flows and teams.
• Develop high-level solution designs for new requests and changes.
• Translate solutions into detailed requirements, data models and data warehouse designs.
• Lead workshops and discussions with business and technical stakeholders.
• Identify dependencies, risks and consequences across the wider data landscape.
• Present options and recommendations to support decision-making.

• Guide requests from the initial business need to development-ready requirements.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a major data transformation programme within the financial sector. The programme is developing a group-wide platform that supports financial, internal and regulatory reporting.

You will work at the intersection of business, data and technology. Your responsibilities will include gathering requirements, assessing the impact of new requests and translating complex reporting needs into clear requirements and high-level solution designs.

Working closely with Product Owners, architects, data specialists and business stakeholders, you will guide requests from the initial business need through to development. This technically oriented Business Analyst role requires practical experience with SQL, data modelling and data warehouse environments. Familiarity with ETL processes and experience collaborating with technical teams across complex data landscapes are also important.

Profile

• 5+ years of experience in a comparable position (e.g. Data Analyst, Business Analyst, etc.)
• Practical experience with SQL and ETL;
• Experience with data modelling and data warehouse environments.
• A good understanding of ETL processes and data flows.
• Understanding of Business Analysis methods and best practices..
• Experience gathering requirements, conducting impact assessments and contributing to solution designs.
• Knowledge and experience with BI, Data Modelling, including Data Vault and dimensional modelling, and Informatica PowerCenter.
• Experience with financial reporting, Finance or Risk is a strong advantage.
• Professional command of English.
